Nebraska
We had a great week in Nebraska visiting my husband's family and attending the wedding of a close family friend. One of the highlights was spending time with my brother in law, sister in law, nieces and meeting their horse, Larry. Tommy had so much fun!

Home Alone
I took my husband and Tommy to the airport on Friday morning and now I'm home alone all weekend. It's so strange to be apart from them! I will join them in Nebraska on Monday night since I couldn't miss too many rehearsals for my show.
Friday was crazy with a long and late rehearsal. I've spent today running around taking care of errands and now I'm tring to get some things done around the house. I honestly had forgotten what it's like to accomplish so many tasks in one day! This morning I went to Mass, got an oil change, did grocery shopping, came home for lunch, took a class at the gym, came home to shower, went out to get my haircut, then got a carwash, did a little shopping at Ann Taylor Loft (they are having 40% off the entire store all weekend!) and then finally stopped at Starbucks on my way home. :) I still have a million things to get done around the house, so hopefully some of that will get done.
Tomorrow I'm celebrating my friend's birthday at a winery. Monday is jam packed with rehearsal, a meeting at school and then I fly out that night.
While it's been nice to have some quiet time and get some things done, I definitely miss my boys! I can't stand being apart from them and I hope Tommy's being a good boy for everyone. I wonder what he's thinking about being away from me for so long? I'm so proud of my husband for being an amazing dad and taking such good care of our little guy.

See You in June
I've been saying this to a lot of people, "See you in June" - including my husband! And I'm only partially kidding. Things are crazy busy around here. Mostly because of the show I'm directing. We have a lot of rehearsals and I have a ton of work to do in the next four weeks.
We are leaving this weekend to attend a wedding in Nebraska, so I need to get my act together for that trip. I feel like I just unpacked from California.
It's also Tommy's 2nd birthday next month. Wow, that is hard to believe! I'm working on plans for a little party to celebrate. You may remember that he was born the week of my show two years ago and I completely missed the whole thing - after months and months of work. Obviously it was worth it! And my co-workers were amazing to take over for me.
My parents will be visiting for two weeks during this time so they can celebrate his birthday and help babysit during my long days. Shortly after they leave I'm heading to North Carolina for a girls-weekend-reunion with my three college-roommates-sorority-sisters. It will be so wonderful to see them and catch up.
Sigh, I'm behind on almost everything - work, emails, housework, and also fun stuff like blogging. I'm trying to prioritize and get it all done, which isn't easy with a crazy toddler running around.
It was almost 90 degrees here today, so Tommy had fun splashing with his water table in the yard. Is it June yet??

Happy Easter!!
Happy Easter! We had a lovely day over here, but I'm exhausted after singing for all the Triduum services and then hosting Easter today.
Just wanted to quickly post and say that I had the pleasure of praying for JoAnna at A Star of Hope during Lent. I offered three novenas for her in addition to remembering her intentions during my Rosaries and Masses. I had not read her blog before and enjoyed getting to know her during these last 40 days.
I hope the joy of the Risen Lord fills your hearts!

Divine Mercy Novena
I hope and pray that everyone is having a blessed Triduum. It's been so busy around here - made it home from California and had houseguests the next day. I'm singing for all the Triduum services and hosting Easter brunch, so I'm trying to get everything together for that. So many things on my mind, hopefully I can find time to blog more later.
For now I will share this link to the Divine Mercy Novena which begins today and ends on Divine Mercy Sunday.

For the sake of His sorrowful passion, have mercy on us and on the whole world.
