It's a little challenging to spend as much time with Molly as we can while still meeting Tommy's needs, but we are making the most of our situation. Having a big room and access to all the Peds toys and movies definitely helps. :)
We are so grateful for all the love, support and prayers we have received. We have also been touched by the kindness of strangers. The first night we were in NICU we got a gift bag that all families receive when their baby is there. It was full of hats, socks, booties, picture frame, toiletries, etc. These gifts are put together by a woman who had a child in the NICU that did not survive. She calls this ministry "Project Sweet Pea." We were so touched!
Then today we received two hand-made quilts (one for Tommy and one for Molly.) They are made by women from a local church for the kids and babies in the hospital. What a nice gift!

ReplyDeleteWow. Congratulations and so thrilled for your happy news. I will offer Memoraries for you as you continue this journey. How cool about all the connections (same hospital as Mrs Mike & your family). Also, having had a withdrawl baby...let me know if you have any questions. Catie was in NICU for much longer and probably had a more intensive withdrawl process and a had her feeding tube for a year. All that said, it sounds like Molly will be just fine! And Mary Margaret is my grandnmother (and great grandmother's) names. God Bless you! Hugs and love to your sweet family.
